Joy – Who Has It? (2min. read)

We are created to be joyful people. People want to hang out with joyful people. One of my favorite things to do is get around fun folks and laugh, laugh from my belly. Did you know that’s actually healthy? It releases happy hormones called endorphins. All I ever knew was that it felt good. I believe we can have complete joy as Jesus tells us in John 15.

John 15:11 I have told you this so my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete. Jesus promises that we have complete joy in Him. I want that kind of joy, do you?

John 15:1 Jesus is the vine, we are the branches and when we remain in Him (connected to the vine, sticking close to Jesus, depending on Him) we will bear fruit. (flourish in our relationships, promoted in our careers, healed in our bodies, making a difference in our worlds, etc.)

John 15:9 As the Father loves me, (Jesus) He loves you. God, The Father loves you and me as much as He loves Jesus, His first born.

John 15:12 Jesus commands us to love each other as He loves us.

How do we obtain this complete joy?
1. Stick close to Jesus and depend on His strength.
2. Settle it in your heart and renew your mind that You are totally Loved by God. He loves you just as much as He loves Jesus.
3. Serve and love others. Listen to people. Be compassionate toward people and pray for them. Value people as Jesus does.

When we do these things, our joy is complete and we give God glory. When we are joyful, we are magnets for people and it makes them want what we have.

Shoreline’s Vision is to Unveil God’s Love.

Let’s be carriers of the vision and unveil God’s love wherever we are, and as we do, we have complete joy.
